Started the base, and lettering to take a break from fur detailing....
October 23, 2004 - 6:25 PM

Here's ANOTHER updated photo showing where I am right now on this bust. My wife loves how it's coming along. I on the other hand am fussy as anything about it...always am about my sculpts I guess.

Thanks for stopping by! :D

Wizard of Oz...Lion Bust *UPDATE*
October 21, 2004 - 1:28 AM

I'm having a lot of fun sculpting this character, and even though I still have a way to go...I think he's coming along nicely. Here's an updated photo from today.

WIP...."I do believe in spooks...I do, I do, I DO!"
October 20, 2004 - 2:33 AM

I've contracted a pretty bad case of Poison Ivy on my right arm and some on my hands....but I'm not letting that stop me from sculpting. ;)

My wife loves the Wizard of Oz, and I'm quite fond of it myself. I saw the great sculptor Tony Cipriano's takes on the characters from this film on the Shiflett Brothers forum, and decided to sculpt a small bust of my wife's favorite character for her. It's from one of her favorite scenes as well. It has a way to go obviously, (add arms, lots more fur detailing and a bit of facial correction) but I'm only about 1 1/2 hours into it so far.......

Thanks for stopping by!! :D

Fall Sculpting...PUMPKINS!!
October 14, 2004 - 2:46 PM

Well...it's officially Fall, and now that I'm free to sculpt what I want until my next commission...I've decided to devote my time to pumpkin sculpts. This will be my first foray into this type of sculpting, but I'm having a blast already. I look forward to doing this every year from now on (I think I'll set October aside strictly for this purpose) to make extra cash on the side, and as long as people are wanting them...I'll keep making them. I love Fall, and now I have something else that'll make me look forward to it every year. :D

Here's an example of what I've done so far. I'll post photos in my gallery as I do more of them until the end of the month.

Thanks for stopping by! :D

My first Action Figure Prototype
October 12, 2004 - 11:38 PM

My first ever Action Figure Prototype. Commissioned by Glenn Csonka the creator of the online comic ANIMAL FORCE. The character's name is Rampart, and I had a blast sculpting him.
