A couple of creepy unfinished sculpts

Here’s a couple of unfinished projects that I forgot about after putting them in my “unfinished cabinet”. Thought I’d post them up and at least show them in their present state. I do plan to finish them, just got busy with other sculpts.
They are zombie characters from the video game series Left4Dead.
The one on the left… is called a “Spitter” and the other a “Boomer”. (Try not to puke)

Getting back to imagination…

Here’s some shots of a work in progress. It feels great to have the imagination flowing again, and get back to my roots so to speak. I’ll post updated photos when warranted, as there is MUCH left to do before it’s done. Thanks for looking!

I decided to try something different from my norm, and do a Comic Book sculpt. I’ve seen a lot of HULK stuff out there lately, and thought I’d give him a go myself. I’m going for the Savage version of the HULK, with the protruding forehead and more ape-like features. I plan to make a bust out of it by adding shoulders and a base. I still have to add the skin texturing, and do some more alterations here and there to this head, but thought I’d show where I’m at with it so far.

Here’s what’s currently on my workbench, just to give an idea of where I’m at.
I have what I want the finished sculpt to look like in my head, it’s coming along, but there’s obviously a long way to go yet.

Hello visitor!

Welcome to the brand spanking new Scott Richard Studio!

Thanks to my web designer Craig Foster, I now have this handsome new website where I can display my work, and even make some available as model kits for purchase. Unlike my other site, I will be including other types of art that spawn from my imagination along with the usual sculpts. This includes paintings and even some toy modifications. Some of these will be available for purchase here as well.

I’ll be updating this page regularly with news of what I’m currently working on, and maybe even work in some tutorials here and there. If you’re good, I might even share some of the story behind all the sculpts. ;)

Please come back and check this section for more updates in the coming future.
