Scott, best wishes to you, your family, your fight, and your journey. I'm really strengthened by your reach and Canadian roots. Montreal gave me a great deal also when I was growing up. I miss it dearly, and I hope you will prosper thru the troubled waters. Travel well brother.

I found your site through the forums at Weta.co.nz... your sculptures are incredibly beautiful! I really liked your Gears of War sculptures. I've wanted to try sculpting myself, perhaps something from the Halo series - Sentinels (the flying mechanical flood killers)! But I can't sculpt if my life depended on it!! I chose Sentinel characters because there aren't any on the planet and to create a Sentinel would make it quite sought after - but only if designed by a master sculptor lol

Yo dude, great work! I dont know much about Super Sculpey, but I am just getting into it and happened to run into your website through subdivisionmodeling.com. I will be taking a class on Sculpey this coming semester, so when the time comes, I hope you don't mind me shooting you a few emails to ask you about how you got your armatures started for some of your full figure sculptures. Keep up the great work!

Hi, Scott
I was looking at my name under google.com and wow same name and a artist as well. This is weird. I was born in 8/23/71. I work in the 3d graphic world, drawing. I also have a dream to start my own studio like yours one day, but working as a home builder sales counsulant takes most of my time. Most of my work is in fantasy. I do not have a web site, but I can send you some of my work. Have you ever worked with zbrush. check it out at pixologic.com. It is a true 3d sculpting tool. I just got it and it is amazing.
Take care
Scott Richard

You've heard it many times before from me, but I can't stop saying how amazing your work is! You already gave me some helpful hints sometime ago on a forum, but I would very much appreciate some more tutorials etc! When are you going to do those Lord of the Rings statues for me?? :p
Tuesday May 8, 2007 09:23 - Stockholm, Sweden

Scotty's comments   Hahaha...Carl, I know you'd like to see me do some LOTR's stuff...I would love to myself. Maybe they'll open up the line again. I can't see myself sculpting anything LOTR's (for sale anyhow) unless licensing is acquired through Sideshow/WETA for more to be added to their line. Maybe I can get a gig with them to do some at that time. Never know right?
I've really been focusing on getting my own personal works molded and casted so that fans can purchase something of mine and paint it up. So keep your eyes open for that.
A tutorial is something that people would like me to do, I've just been so focused on sculpting that I forget to take in-progress photos. I will do that sometime though...just have to plan ahead.
By the way...I appreciate your feedback on my personal works...it's always nice to have fans.:)

Scott...I love your stuff man! I especially dig the Boy On Bee! I would love to have a kit of that so I can paint it.
Saturday February 24, 2007 00:20 - New York

Scotty's comments   Hey Mike!

Guess what! I'm currently reworking the Boy and Bee sculpt for that exact purpose. I'm really excited about finally getting one of my pieces kitted so that fans can have something I've created, and paint it up. Keep checking back! :)

Excellent work! You mention that you work with Sculpey. Are these busts sculpted out of Roma Plastalina? I find Sculpey difficult myself!

Anyway, saw your stuff in the "jam", and thought I would check out your site.

I like your profile at the clubhouse. I hope my husband would put ME first on his list of interests !!!

Thanks for sharing!

Scotty's comments   Hey Elizabeth! Great to hear from ya...thanks for stopping by.
Most of my busts were done in Super Sculpey mixed with black and white Sculpey 3. I've yet to try Plastalina at all. I'm a BIG castilene fan right now, but am looking forward to getting into Chavant NSP...supposed to be great for busts.

Hehehe...yeah, without my wife...I'd be nowhere. :)

Thanks!
Scotty

You are AWESOME! I'm pretty sure I saw your stuff on the old Shiflett Bros. Forum, site looks damn good too.
Tuesday November 21, 2006 23:13 - Arizona

Scotty's comments   Hey thanks Scott!(cool name)
Shiflett Forum, heck yeah...that's where this all started for me...the seed was planted by those guys.
Having fellow sculptors love my work means a lot to me...after all, who understands the trials and rewards more? Thanks bro!

I have my great friend Craig Foster to thank for my website. I just told him what I wanted, and showed him what I liked, and he did it up for me...great guy and terrific web designer.

Hey Scott!
My mom and I were just taking a look at some of your work and it looks amazing! You are so talented. Our favorite is the Kong with the T-rex, the detail you put into it is breath taking! Hope all is well with you and the family.
Good luck!
